Hinterland Adventures offers a selection of wilderness canoe tours and one semi wilderness canoe tour. A Hinterland tour can be any number of days up to 21. A 21 day tour will take 3 weeks and will find you travelling across the province of Nova Scotia through parts of southwestern Nova Scotia including the remote Tobeatic Wildreness Area and along the Shelburne Heritage River.

We will customize any canoe tour to suit your schedule and if you have any questions about the area our tours travel in do not hesitate to contact us to discuss a potential tour.

We provide the guides, canoes and related equipment, food, utensils, pots and pans, stoves, tents, tarps, etc. You are responsible for your own personal gear, sleeping bag and sleeping mat. Should you want a list of required and suggested items you will need to have for your canoe tour, we will send a list, upon request, when you book your tour.

Hinterland also rents canoes with PFDs and all required equipment for $40.00 a day, $25.00 for each day there after. By the hour rental is $7.00 per hour without a guide and $10.00 per hour with a guide. all prices are in Canadian dollars and include tax. We also have a small selection of dry packs for rent.
